Madhavpriyadasji Swami of Charodi Gurukul

Sadguru Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami is a highly respected figure in the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, renowned for his contributions to education and social service. A blessed disciple of P. P. Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharamjeevandasji Swami, the founder of Rajkot Gurukul, Madhavpriyadasji Swami completed his Gurukul studies in 1968. He furthered his education, earning the degree of Vedantacharya from Sampoornanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, achieving remarkable academic success.

Swamiji's impact on the education field and the development of Rajkot Gurukul and its branches is significant. Notably, the SGVP school and traditional Sanskrit Mahavidyalay at Ahmedabad are the first in India to receive American Accreditation as an International school and Sanskrit college, respectively. He currently serves as Director of SGVP.

His inspiration and active efforts have expanded the social services of Gurukul to remote rural areas, benefiting needy people. Shree Lakshminarayan Dev Peethadipati, Vadtal, honored him with the title ‘Sadguru’ in 1990, recognizing his social and spiritual contributions. Sandeepany Vidyaniketan, Porbandar, further honored him with the title ‘Devrshi’ in 2002.

Swamiji has travelled to numerous countries across America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia to propagate true knowledge. He participated in the World Religious conference at the United Nations in 2000 and the World Hindi Conference at the United Nations in July 2007. He also inaugurated the World Gujarati conference in August 2008, organized by the Association of Indian – Americans in North America (AIANA).
