Devkrushnadasji Swami of Rajkot
Pujya Guruvarya Shri Devkrushnadasji Swami, born Devjibhai Kaila in Vejalpar village, is revered as an embodiment of Vairagya (detachment). He is the current leader of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan, taking over administrative duties in 1974 from Shastriji Maharaj Shri Dharmajivandasji Swami.
The Rajkot Gurukul, established in 1948 by Shastriji Maharaj, aims to spread "Sadvidya" (true education) championed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and teach Indian cultural heritage. The organization has since expanded globally with branches in India and the United States.
Inspired by Shastriji Maharaj's honest and virtuous lifestyle, Devkrushnadasji Swami enrolled in Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot for higher studies and became one of his greatest admirers. He is deeply involved in the education sector for the greater good.
Under his leadership, the Gurukul focuses on values like discipline, etiquette, human values, aesthetic sense, love for nature, and the power of prayer. The Gurukul Bal Sanskar also operates under his guidance.
